Kwik-Krafts / 4.25.14 / Motorola DYNATAC 8000x
Keeping with the idea of paper handhelds and the fact that I’ve been watching a lot of Saved By The Bell lately. I decided to make a paper version of Zack’s cell phone, the Motorola DYNATAC 8000x.
Kwik-Krafts / 4.21.14 / Game Boy’s 25th Anniversary
Nintendo’s Game Boy turned a whopping 25 years young! Made a paper handheld to celebrate.
Kwik-Krafts / 3.25.14 / National Waffle Day Part 2 Tommy Perez
Kwik-Krafts / 2.2.13 / Paperkut Business Card
"Business in the front, party in the back." Interactive fold-out letterpress business cards. With a little folding, the die cut tabs reveal the color underneath and spell out my name.
Four colors: Duplexed to French Paper Poptone - Sweet Tooth. (Razzle Berry, Grape Jelly, Sour Apple, and Blu Raspberry)
Kwik-Krafts / 12.25 / Yo Gabba Gabba Boombox
It’s been too long since I’ve made a paper-kraft.
Santa brought Zoë tickets to see Yo Gabba Gabba. And he asked if I could make something to hold her new shirt, the boombox was a perfect fit.
Kwik-Krafts / 8.01 / MTV Debuted
So I know it’s August 8th, but we’re going back in time to the beginning of the month and try to catch up.
August 1: MTV debuted on this day back in 1981. "The original purpose of the channel was to play music videos guided by on-air hosts known as VJs". We all know how that ended up.
So, we’re going to be starting a small side project called “Kwik-Krafts”. Kwik-Krafts will be fun, quick and simple paperkrafts. We’ll be using National and notable days of the month as a guide, but we may stray and choose whatever is on our mind. We’re shooting for this to be a quick semi-daily (hopefully) exercise to keep the krafting creativity moving. So join us as we take off on another paper journey.
Day 45 • Grumpy Gramps
I love Grumpy Gramps’ hat and wide array of mustaches. Me and this guy could doodle fake mustachios on pictures in magazines all day!
Day 26 • Mega Larb
This mellow fellow is one of my favorites! I think the template and the perforations didn’t match up on some pieces of him, so I had to bust out the x-acto. He still turned out pretty awesome though!
Day 25 • Zogg!
Zogg! was a fun and simple monster. Why is it that the majority of aliens have a soft spot for cat food?
Day 24 • Zumolla
This monster was fun to make. She has a sort of bobble head that’s really cool and her body slides on and off like armor.
Day 23 • Abagon
What a fun monster to wrap up this crazy week. It’s really cool that her neck and head can move. The feet are so cleverly simple, but look so cool!
Day 22 • Octopup
This cute little pup is just begging to be adopted. I think I could find a home for him in the tub.
Day 21 • Squidbeak
This monster was a hard build! But all the patience and hard work was worth it. This guy is pretty awesome! His tentacles are my favorite part.
